Last Sunday

Was a success...
We took the kids to the monkey room and then to the zoo, for some reason many of the animals were being walked or fed by the time we went to see them, so we got really close them.

Firas touched a snake, a baby hedgehog, a Guinna pig, and a domestic goat. We saw a couple of hundred years old tortoise taking a very slow stroll, we saw the birds while they were being fed, huge white pelicans were standing just a couple of feet from us.

The leopard, a long tailed monkey, and the orangutan all had babies and we got to see the playful little ones and it was utterly amazing. I felt like it was an organized series of coincidences to make our visit to the zoo very enjoyable and that it was.

The kids saw most of the Baby Einstein Baby Noah animals. Fady called all the animals monkey though.

On one area the zoo set up a station to educate the kids about the Gulf Oil Spill, they put plastic turtles in a tub spilled Hershy chocolate syrup on it, and taught the kids to clean it. Firas did that and he really liked it.

It was almost a perfect a day, had the Saints won....

Here are some pictures
